Get Into The Game - LEGO Batman

by Patrick Daniels

From LEGO Star Wars to LEGO Batman, you will be swept away by the fun, suitable for your whole family.

The graphics and colors are the best looking in the series. Game play is basically the same, but since their is no reason to change this, it works out well.

It is a very accessible game to any level of gamer and it is not inappropriate at all. The cartoonish mischief and look of the characters makes it a title that the whole family can play. It is good for younger gamers who don’t know anything about the Batman legend, and is fun for players that have been fans of the Caped Crusader for a long time.

The extras and hidden characters are plenty and should take many plays through to complete. The ability to drop in and out at will allows for two player fun without the hassle of one person getting stuck, and if that person is of a different skill level, he can drop out and let the AI do the work for that segment of the game. It is a good game to introduce new fans to the Batman story by introducing many of the classic characters. There are so many good characters to pick from the comic books and movies that the developers were even able to get some of the more obscure characters for the player.

It digs deep into the mythology of the franchise and as a fan I am thankful that they put so much effort into the development of the game. I know that his wont be the last in the Lego series; in fact I read just this weekend that they are developing a Rock Band game around the Lego characters. That is another good way to bring the younger gamers, who may not have had any interest in the music games, into the genre. These games aren’t supposed to be world changing or particularly difficult, but they are supposed to be fun and that is why I like these games so much, because they are fun, for kids and adults alike.
